Now that I’ve made it home from my long journey to Totriga I thought I would dig through my notebooks at a few of the interviews I managed to get with some different people. Although I’m certain he stole my wallet I did have a nice conversation with the man. He introduced himself as Jardeth Bydarn of the Dragon Clan Puk.
Me: That is an interesting title, tell me, is that merely a title or do you actually have dragons? Because I have to say the idea of having a dragon is quite appealing. Jardeth: Oh no my dear, dragons have been extinct for many centuries. Although there are some rumours that the more reclusive of clans still have dragons roaming about. My clan’s dragons however have been gone for some time. Me: I’m sorry to hear that. How did it happen? Jardeth: I’m not really sure, our story keepers records from that far back have been lost with all the travels through the years. My I have to say you have the most stunning blue eyes I’ve ever seen. Me:*clears throat* Urm, thank you that’s very kind. But could you remove your hand from my knee. Jardeth: Of course my dear, I wouldn’t want to make you uncomfortable. Me: I appreciate that, could you also stop winking at me, I’m happily married. Jardeth: Of course. Me: So you’re human correct? Jardeth: Yes of course. *he laughed* If you weren’t happily married I would show you just how human I am. Me: *clears throat* Charming. Is it common for humans to travel to the dwarf kingdom, Theakredel? I believe you’re the only human, aside from myself, that I’ve seen around here. Jardeth: Common? No, but it happens from time to time. There’s not much out this far West-South, especially for someone with my skill set. Plus we’re pretty close to the goblin lands. Not the friendliest bunch. Me: Your skill set? As a gigalo you mean? Jardeth: *laughs* I’m no gigalo! Heck no, I’m a thief. Not much to steal from dwarves and farmers. So I stick to the bigger cities. Me: You admit you’re a thief? Jardeth: Of course, you should never be ashamed of who you are. Are you sure you’re happily married? Me: Okay. Thanks so much for your time Mr. Bydarn. I need to be on my way now. I have an early interview. I did have to edit our conversation a bit, he was easily distracted. And like I said, I’m pretty sure he stole my wallet.

It was a lot of fun writing. I have to say I was surprised to see a comment since this post was from 2019. But I'm glad you enjoyed it all the same.
