So if you’re wondering where I have been and why I haven’t posted in so long, just take a look at that the number of emails I have and it will tell you how swamped I have been.
Yes, 230 emails as of this moment. That doesn’t include the emails back and forth with my cover artist, editor, and beta’s. I think that number would be close to the 250-260 mark. It’s been so very crazy for me. This is also why this Sunday morning post is turning into a Monday night read.
So I’ll give you a quick rundown, I finished Mechanical Dragons 5 and sent it off to the beta’s. It’s actually on its way back into my hands. In the three weeks that I have been waiting, I finished up the final edits on MD3 and sent it off to be formatted. Then got cracking on my Christmas crafts. I’d show you a picture, but they are gifts so I don’t want to spoil any surprises. (I’ll make a note for the New Year!)
Now I will sit down this week and go through the beta feedback and fix whatever issues there are with the book and in the new year send it off to the editor. Next week it’s Christmas and family events and the last week of 2019 will be recovery from the last two months!
Since this is my last post of the year I thought maybe this would be a good time to reflect on 2019. I re-read my first post of the year and I’m happy to say that I kept most of my goals. Or as I put them, themes for the year. They were productivity and stepping outside my comfort zone. I believe I did both those things, quite successfully actually. I released three books this year, Bounty, Blood Magic, and The Gift.
Not a small feat. Now I won’t tell you what my themes are for next year, you will need to tune in to find out. But I can tell you that there are at least six projects on the horizon for 2020, the rapid re-release of the Mechanical Dragons first four books and the launch of Mechanical Dragons: Reunion, as well as two more books being released, one in July and another in November. Stay tuned through the year to learn more about those projects.
But for the remainder of this year, have a wonderful holiday season and amazing and safe New Year!
I have a tendency to ramble when talking to friends. I figured why not share my ramblings here with you nice people!
